He has been taking training sessions at Carrington all week, as he prepares his squad for a trip to the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday.
Stoke is a notoriously tough place to go, but Mourinho will take solace from his side's excellent start to the Premier League season.
United are yet to concede a goal and have scored 10 in their three matches so far, so Mourinho has every right to be delighted with the club's run.
Despite this, Ander Herrera is one player not taking things for granted, and he has warned that United must be at the top of their game come kick-off.

'The Premier League is very long and every team can beat you,' he told MUTV. 'Now we have to face Stoke, and we've had four seasons without winning there. It's been a good way to start [the campaign] but we cannot relax.
'We are ready to face them and, hopefully, the weather is not so bad there because, when it is bad, it is very difficult to play. We are ready. No excuses - let's try to win there. We are Manchester United, so we are not scared.
'Always, against Manchester United, every team or every fan of the opponent are waiting for us. It's a big day for us. We have to be equal to their attitude and then we have to show our quality. The first thing is the attitude. The atmosphere is going to be against us, but that is normal.'
On Saturday, Mourinho donned a pair of goalkeeper gloves for charity in the Game for Grenfell
He even scored a penalty, but could not help his side to victory in the shootout at Loftus Road
