Mesut Ozil is clearly itching to return to action with Arsenal, he has even taken to playing as himself on PES2018 as he looks to fill a football-shaped hole in his life.
He missed Arsenal's 3-1 win over Cologne in the Europa League last Thursday and their goalless draw in the Premier League at Chelsea on Sunday because of inflammation on his knee.
To fill the void, Ozil has turned to his PlayStation and fired up the latest edition of popular console game PES, of which he is an ambassador.

The Germany international has missed two Arsenal matches with the knee problem
In a picture on his Instagram account of himself playing as the Gunners, Ozil wrote: 'Satisfying my need for football with new #PES2018. Real life Mesut will be back on the pitch again soon!'
After missing the last two games, Ozil confirmed earlier this week that he was back in training following the knee injury.
The Germany international posted the fitness update on his Instagram account on Tuesday night, saying that he had suffered a minor inflammation of the knee.

It caused Ozil toPosting an image of himself on a sofa giving the thumbs up, Ozil wrote: 'Good news: I'm back training on the pitch. As you might have heard I'm suffering from a minor inflammation of my knee.
'Feeling better each day now and hope to be back playing very soon.'
Ozil followed that update with a post on Wednesday detailing a gym workout as he nears a return to full fitness.
