Mesut Ozil spends 'another day at the recovery office' as he shows fans he's still working hard at Arsenal despite links with Manchester United

Amid rumours of an Arsenal exit in the coming months, Mesut Ozil has moved to show fans that he's still working hard at the club's training ground.

The German midfielder has been sidelined since the win over West Brom at the end of September, going on to miss matches in the Europa League and top flight.

But he appears to be fighting hard to regain fitness, posting a video of himself lifting weights at the club's London Colney training base.

There have been claims over the past few weeks that Ozil is set for an exit next summer, but fans of the midfielder will be glad to see him still working hard.

Arsenal legend Martin Keown is among his critics, and believes that he has already mentally checked out of the Emirates.

'I think he's testing Wenger more than any other player has,' Keown told BBC Radio 5 Live. 'I think it was Belarus the other week, he didn't fancy going. He didn't want to go.

'Suddenly he was injured again, he played nine minutes against West Bromwich Albion on the Monday, so how did he get injured there?

'I think in some departments he's already left. Psychologically, mentally, he's already left the football club. Maybe Wenger is now trying to do the best deal he can to get some compensation for him.'

Ozil has been linked with a move to Manchester United on a free transfer next summer, with his contract expiring come the end of the current season.

The 28-year-old played under Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, and the United boss even wrote the foreword in Ozil's autobiography.
