Dani Alves is hopeful Alexis Sanchez will choose Paris as his next destination and make the switch from Arsenal to join him at PSG.

Sanchez was expected to leave Arsenal in the summer and, though a deadline day switch to Manchester City appeared close, the Gunners stood firm with their stance of retaining their prized asset.

Sanchez is out of contract at the end of the season, and the likelihood of him renewing terms at the Emirates appears slim.

With many teams already sniffing around the Chilean superstar, his former Barcelona team-mate Dani Alves has already spoken out in favour of him coming to Ligue 1

'It's a possibility, but there are several teams that want him. I want him to be happy wherever he goes, but if that's with us, it's better.' Alves told reporters in the aftermath of Brazil's recent victory over Sanchez's Chile - as reported by Goal.

Alves joined the Parisian outfit in the summer to become part of a growing group of South Americans, including Thiago Silva, Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria and, most recently, Neymar.

Alves was offering his option on Sanchez after coming up against the mercurial forward on the international stage, after which the Arsenal man and his Chile colleagues were left heartbroken.

Brazil's 3-0 victory in Sao Paulo meant La Roja failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, finishing sixth and missing out to Peru on a play-off spot.

Alves insisted it is always tough coming up against players of Sanchez's calibre, while heaping praise on the efforts of the Brazil team.

'It's always difficult to come up against players like Alexis, with this quality and level but we've been concentrating over the whole game and we've done a great job,' Alves added.
