Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson believes Harry Redknapp is tactically superior to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Merson played under Wenger at Arsenal and was also under Redknapp's guidance at Portsmouth in 2002-03.

He thinks Arsenal would have won more trophies under Wenger if he was as astute as Redknapp is.

Arsenal are fifth in the Premier League with 13 points from seven matches. They last won the Premier League under Wenger in 2004.

Redknapp's most notable piece of silverware in a long and respected career in English football is the 2008 FA Cup triumph with Portsmouth.
