The forward made a major impression after emerging through the ranks and into Liverpool's first-team squad last term.

He netted against Leeds in the EFL Cup - becoming the youngest goalscorer in the club's history - before being summoned by Wales boss Chris Coleman.

Woodburn quickly made himself at home on the international stage with a goal and assist against Austria in Cardiff in September.

Liverpool have become accustomed to Barcelona interest in their players, following the summer saga involving Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian was the subject of several massive bids from the Nou Camp but Liverpool remained firm in their determination not to sell.
