Chelsea have trained ahead of their Champions League game against Roma.

The Blues top Group C after three games, despite a 3-3 draw against the Italian giants last time out, and could make a serious step towards qualification with a win at the Stadio Olimpico.

There was a welcome boost after N'Golo Kante joined the session, making it possible that he will play on Tuesday after missing Chelsea's last five matches.

Manager Antonio Conte had suggested he could be available for the game on Saturday: 'I hope to have him in this game, but I prefer to not take this type of risk. If he is ready, he plays.'

It was clear there was a positive atmosphere around the camp on Monday morning as Eden Hazard messed around with his woolly hat during a cold snap in London.

The Belgium international pulled his hat down over his eyes as he walked to the training pitch with Andreas Christiansen.

He was not the only player to wrap up warm during cold temperatures in the English capital.

Pedro and Michy Batshuayi also both donned a hat, while David Luiz could be seen in a snood and gloves during the session.

Antonio Conte also put on a number of layers but managed to take the time to show his silky skills with a football, which clearly have not diminished since retiring as a player.

Thibaut Courtois could also be seen juggling a football during the session at the Cobham facility.

Meanwhile, defender Antonio Rudiger has revealed that he is keen to return to his former club Roma and play in front of their fans at the Stadio Olimpico.

Rudiger made 72 appearances for the Serie A side before joining Chelsea in July.

The 24-year-old anticipated meeting his former team before the Champions League draw.

'I spoke to my parents (after the draw) and I already knew and my parents even told me that you will get Roma,' Rudiger said.

'I was happy and I am happy to go to Rome, to go there and play against my old team because I have a big respect. I had two wonderful years there with ups and downs, with injuries.

'They were standing always behind me, the players, the team, the board and the fans.'

Chelsea will be hoping to extend their three-match winning streak in all competitions against Roma and in the Premier League game against second-placed Manchester United on Sunday.
