Inter Milan have joined Manchester City and Juventus in the race to sign Atletico Madrid's Jose Gimenez, according to reports in Italy.
Gimenez has made just four league starts for Atletico this campaign and his contract at the Wanda Metropolitano is set to expire in June 2018.
And Football Italia report via FCInterNews that Gimenez's situation has alerted Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio, though they face competition from City and Serie A rivals Juventus.

Ausilo has been given the green light by Inter's Chinese owners to pursue the 22-year-old but it is unlikely a deal can be reached in the January transfer window.
Manchester United and Arsenal were considering a move for Gimenez last summer with Atletico believed to be willing to accept below his £56million release clause.
The Gunners are long-term admirers of Gimenez and were in talks with Atletico over a potential deal as early as August 2016 before opting to sign Shkodran Mustafi.
Gimenez is a fast and physical centre back who has already featured at a World Cup finals and two Copa Americas for his country Uruguay since his debut in 2013.
Gimenez has been at Atletico since joining them from Uruguayan side Danubio back in 2013
He made 27 league appearances for Diego Simeone's side in 2015-16 but his opportunities have been more limited since.
Gimenez featured 17 times in La Liga last campaign and has made just five appearances so far this season with Simeone preferring Stefan Savic as Diego Godin's central defensive partner.
Atletico face Qarabag in the Champions League on Tuesday night desperate to get their campaign back on track after a goalless draw in the away fixture in Azerbaijan left them five points off leaders Chelsea in Group C.
