Nigeria had shown a considerable interest in recruiting him to represent the Super Eagles, however the 20-year-old has been unwavering in his commitment to the Three Lions having come through the youth ranks.

Joe Gomez has enjoyed regular action for Liverpool in both the league and Champions League and has been rewarded for a string of solid performances with his first full international call-up.

Another Chelsea loanee, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, has been gaining valuable experience under former Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace, and he too is called up for the first time.

Abraham was part of Aidy Boothroyd's Under-21 side that reached the semi-finals of the European Championship in the summer, where they lost on penalties to Germany.

Twenty-year-old Gomez has been captaining the Under 21s in their current qualification campaign for Euro 2019 in Italy and San Marino.

Loftus-Cheek has amassed a total of 17 Under-21 caps in his youth career, but missed last summer's tournament through injury, as did Gomez.

Young has made the left-back spot at Manchester United his own this season and has played every minute of their last six league matches.

On the other hand, Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled since switching Arsenal for Anfield, and has largely been restricted to substitute appearances under Jurgen Klopp.

England face Germany on Friday November 10 at the national stadium, before welcoming Brazil to the same venue four days later.
