Manchester United travel to London for one of their toughest tests of the season so far as they come up against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho and his star-studded squad made the trip to the English capital via train as they prepare for the mouthwatering clash at Stamford Bridge.

Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashord and Co boarded the train at Stockport station on Saturday afternoon, 24 hours before they face a Chelsea side hoping to halt United's convincing start to the season.

Mourinho, who wished his daughter a happy 21st birthday on Friday night, will be fully focused on wreaking havoc at his former haunt come Sunday.

But the Portuguese has not had the ideal build up in the last 24 hours.

The Red Devils boss appeared in court in Madrid on Friday morning to settle a multi-million-pound tax dispute with Spanish authorities.

He arrived at Carrington back in the north-west of England at 4.15pm to prepare his squad for the encounter with his former side.

And this weekend will not be any less hectic for him — which begins with a train ride to London.

United will hope to keep pressure on Manchester City, who have emerged as the early pace-setters in the Premier League.

A win against Chelsea will go a long way towards ensuring Mourinho's men stay within touching distance of their city counterparts.
