Manchester City are continuing to watch Espanyol left-back Aaron Martin as they consider a January move.
Martin was an option for City in the summer as talks over Benjamin Mendy's transfer from Monaco became protracted. Now with the France international defender injured they are weighing up whether to strengthen in that position for the second part of the season.
Martin, 20, has a buyout clause of £35.5million but Espanyol may negotiate should a substantial offer be made.

City have had scouts at a number of Espanyol games this season with Spain Under 21 international Martin also drawing attention from other clubs including Manchester United.
City also have a long-standing interest in Southampton's Ryan Bertrand. The 28-year-old England international would not come cheap though.

Martin is regarded as one of the best young full-backs in Europe after catching the eye at Espanyol since breaking into the first team last October.
He was handed a new contract until 2020 soon after making his Espanyol debut and recently represented the Catalonia senior team.
Meanwhile, Valencia are showing interest in City right-back Pablo Maffeo who has impressed during his loan spell at Girona.
