Eden Hazard has put Real Madrid on alert after admitting he would relish an opportunity to play under Zinedine Zidane.

The Spanish and European champions failed to fill the void made by the sale of Alvaro Morata to Chelsea over the summer and have made it a priority to bring in an attacking replacement.

Madrid have previously flirted with the idea of signing Hazard, who has claimed while on international duty it was his dream to play under the current Madrid manager.

'Everyone knows the respect I have for the man, Hazard told RTL. 'For the player he was and for the coach he is, he was my idol.

'Of course I don't know what will happen in my career in the future, but to play under him would be a dream.'

However Hazard was keen to point out that he has no immediate desire to leave Chelsea, where the midfielder is under contract until 2020, despite also admitting he would have no problem linking up with former boss Jose Mourinho again.

The Belgian's form declined rapidly during the 2014-15 campaign that led to Mourinho being sacked from the Blues, amid talks of a bust-up between the pair.

But the duo appeared to bury the hatchet at the weekend after greeting each other before Manchester United's 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

'It wouldn't bother me to play under Jose Mourinho again,' the Blues midfielder added.

'At this time, though, I'm happy at Chelsea. I still have a lot of things to do at Chelsea, and I'm focused on Chelsea.'
