Romelu Lukaku scored twice on Friday in Belgium's entertaining 3-3 draw with Mexico to become his country's joint all-time record goalscorer.

Mexico's Hirving Lozano exposed Belgium's unexpected defensive frailty with two goals and Lukaku needed to score a second half brace to give the home side a draw in the match between two World Cup-bound teams on Friday.

The 24-year-old Lukaku has now scored 30 goals for the Red Devils, equalling the record set by Paul van Himst and Bernard Voorhoof.

Belgium missed their best three defenders because of injuries on Friday, and their absence was exploited at the King Baudouin Stadium.

Lozano ran amok through the last line and almost upset one of the favourites for World Cup in Russia next summer.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard gave Belgium the early lead in the 17th minute.

However, Andres Guardado equalized in the first half from the penalty spot in Belgium.

It set up a spectacular second half, in which Lozano and Lukaku flourished on Friday night.

Lukaku netted in the 55th minute but Lozano turned the game on its head, scoring a minute later before putting Mexico ahead on 60 minutes.

But the Manchester United striker had the last say, equalising for the hosts to make it 3-3 with 20 minutes of normal time remaining.

Roberto Martinez's Belgium outfit play Japan on Tuesday, and Mexico travel to Poland for more friendly action.
