Sergio Aguero posted a cryptic tweet ahead of Manchester City's clash at Leicester.

Aguero declared himself fit for the Premier League leaders' trip to the King Power, despite going to hospital while on international duty with Argentina because of a dizzy spell.

He was named on the bench for the Leicester game and posted a series of facepalm emojis and the word 'tranquilo' - which translates to calm.

Just minutes before the team-sheet was revealed Aguero made a cryptic post on Twitter

The timing of Aguero's tweet - 1.51pm - was unusual for a player involved in a 3pm kick-off.

City boss Pep Guardiola started the game with a front three of Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane behind Gabriel Jesus.

Prior to today, Aguero has scored 10 goals in 12 matches for City this season.

His ninth goal of the campaign, which came in a 4-2 win at Napoli in the Champions League, saw him become the club's all-time leading scorer.

His one-word message, which was accompanied by four facepalm emojis, translates to 'calm'
