Brighton captain Bruno Saltor becomes latest Premier League player to make Common Goal pledge
- 37-year-old Brighton full-back signs up for Juan Mata's Common Goal initiative

Bruno Saltor, captain of Brighton and Hove Albion, has been confirmed as the latest footballer to join Common Goal.
The 37-year-old full-back has pledged to donate one per cent of his earnings towards the collective charity, initiated by Manchester United's Juan Mata, that is helping underprivileged people across the globe.
Bruno, who faces Mata at the weekend, said: 'Last season I was fortunate enough to be part of a Brighton team that was promoted to the Premier League for the first time in our history.

'It was a special moment that united our entire community and a powerful reminder of football's capacity to create magic in our lives.
'What I like most about Common Goal is that it taps into this same magic to change the world for good. It's about uniting all of us, the global football community, behind a shared commitment to give back.'
Bruno, who started his career with Espanyol in 1999, added: 'Over the past few years I think we've come to understand that, as players, we have a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the world. Many of us want to leave a mark that is more than our achievements on the pitch.'

The Common Goal initiative is now gaining encouraging momentum after a relatively slow start.
Bruno, who is the fourth Premier League player to sign up, follows confirmation of Wolfsburg midfielder Daniel Didavi joining too this week.
Common Goal is planning a grander announcement next Wednesday, November 29 and has lined up a new player to be announced each day building up to then.
