And Marco Silva's Hornets side are keen to tie up a deal next month for the shot-stopper.

Watford currently sit eighth in the Premier League as Silva enjoyed a brilliant start to life in the Vicarage Road dug-out.

Watford have conceded 26 goals in their opening 15 top flight matches and Silva is looking to provide Huerelho Gomes with some competition in the future.
