Sky Sports have revealed that Noel Gallagher will be a pundit for this Sunday's eagerly-anticipated Manchester derby - and the banter with Gary Neville has already started.
The former Oasis star and Manchester City fan will be alongside Manchester United legend Neville, Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry and Graeme Souness on Sky's coverage of the Old Trafford clash.
And when one Twitter user claimed 'Sky had gone to the dogs' and should have found a former City player instead, Neville couldn't resist a cheeky dig.
Noel Gallagher is to appear as a guest pundit on Sky's coverage of the Manchester derby
Sky announced on Wednesday that Gallagher would be joining their usual pundits on Sunday
After some Twitter users criticised the decision, Neville couldn't resist a cheeky dig
Neville wrote: 'We can't find an ex City player that's won anything! Noel won GQ haircut of the year once so he's the best we can get!'
With Pep Guardiola's side already eight points clear of Jose Mourinho's United at the top of the Premier League - and with a chance to extend that to 11 on Sunday - Neville might not be laughing for long.
Neville and Gallagher have a bit of previous, with the music star once sending Neville a guitar with the message: 'Dear Gary. How many caps have you got for England!! How many do you think you deserved?? I'll tell you. F***in' NONE!!'
Neville has interviewed Oasis star Gallagher before as a derby-day preview on Sky Sports
Neville also received a guitar from Gallagher, with a very cheeky message scrawled on it
The front of the guitar given to Neville by the Oasis star had M.C.F.C scribbled over it
The decision to have Gallagher on as a pundit for the derby on Sunday didn't go down well with everyone.
One Twitter used joked: 'Who we getting in for us? Mick Hucknell or Olly Murs?'
However, the elder Gallagher brother has previously done guest stints on Match of the Day and BBC Radio 5 Live.
Neville has also previously interviewed Gallagher for a derby-day preview on Sky.
