REVEALED: The only four countries in the world where you CAN'T watch Manchester United v Manchester City

  • Nations not showing game are North Korea, Cuba, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Moldova
  • People in 189 countries around the world will be able to watch the action live
  • The audience is likely to bypass Premier League record of 4million people

It will be hard to avoid the Manchester derby this weekend, with plenty of build up and hype until the Sunday Premier League clash between United and City.

In fact, there are only four countries in the entire world which are not broadcasting the huge game live.

The nations - defined, Pointless-style, as sovereign states that are members of the UN - are North Korea, Cuba, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Moldova.

As a result, the game is set to become the most watched match in Premier League history, overtaking another Manchester derby - the 1-0 win for City in the 2011-12 title run-in.

That game, decided by a Vincent Kompany header - and the City defender could play in the upcoming game too - was watched by over 4million people.

Sunday's fixture could overtake that, thanks to a potential audience of 1billion people across 189 countries which are showing it live. For context, there are 193 UN-recognised nations.

26 broadcasters from nations worldwide, including the UK, USA, France and China will be at the game, with the matches streamed to all four corners of the globe.

The clash is also set to be the most expensive game football has ever seen, despite the absence of £89million Paul Pogba through suspension.

The combined cost of the predicted line-ups is £650million - and that's without Pogba, Benjamin Mendy, John Stones or Eric Bailly.

United's team will most likely feature £75m Romelu Lukaku and £44m Anthony Martial up front, while City will almost certainly field £50m Kyle Walker, £55m Kevin De Bruyne and £44m Raheem Sterling.
