None other than Xabi Alonso, who will be hoping to hand a favourable draw for former sides Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid... although with that amount of teams I'm not too sure everyone will end up being pleased here.
Knowing Xabi he will now draw Liverpool against Real Madrid...
The ceremony has started but this is UEFA so first we are going to waste five minutes of everyone's time to watch some group stage highlights. You know, in case you missed them...
So once again here is a reminder of the format for those of you just tuning in...
The 16 teams will be separated into two pots of group winners (seeded) and runners-up (unseeded).
They will then be drawn against each other with the seeded teams having home advantage in the second of the two-legged tie.
Only two rules apply. Firstly, teams from the same association (domestic league) can not draw each other. Secondly, no team can face a side they have already played in the group stage.
Got it? Good, here are how the pots line-up...
There are three La Liga teams in the hat for the last-16 and according to Spanish daily Marca the group runners-up Real Madrid and Sevilla will want to avoid Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Manchester United.
For group winners Barcelona, the teams Chelsea and Bayern Munich are who they will want to steer clear of.
We do now have a home for the UEFA Europa League round of 32 draw. Rob Summerscales has all the info and the live action as it happens from the midday draw on this link.
It's a lot tougher to do when you have to factor the two rules outlined in my 9.36am post. My first run resulted in Chelsea not being able to play anyone.
So for what it's worth (nothing) here is how my Champions League draw looked. Looks like only Liverpool and Manchester United get off lightly from the Premier League teams, but I have served up Real Madrid vs Paris-Saint Germain.
Bayern Munich vs Tottenham Hotspur
Shakhtar Donetsk vs Roma
Real Madrid vs Paris Saint-Germain
Sevilla vs Besiktas
Basle vs Liverpool
Chelsea vs Barcelona
Porto vs Manchester United
Juventus vs Manchester City
Sorry Gunners supporters you have come to the wrong place this year.
Instead you will want to look out for the Europa League draw that gets underway at midday. I will provide links on how you can follow this live nearer the time...
I refuse to be blamed for 'putting the mockers' on Tottenham if they now draw Bayern or Juventus and Chelsea face Besiktas.
Although if the Blues do draw the Turkish outfit I will very much now like to say I'm taking all the credit for it.
No team took more Champions League group stage points than Tottenham Hotspur, and that's not to be sniffed at considering they had back-to-back winners Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in their group.
As a result they already avoid two big names in the last-16 in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo & Co as well as Chelsea.
While they can still be pitted against Bayern Munich (who in the absence of Arsenal need another opponent to step for in their annual trip to north London) and Juventus, the draw is set to be relatively kind to Spurs.
Basle, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sevilla and Porto are the other teams they could face and while none of them are going to be walk-overs, they do provide opposition that Mauricio Pochettino's outfit would be confident of seeing off.
Chelsea, at this stage at least, have paid a high price for failing to top their group.
With Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City winning their respective groups that immediately wipes off half the opposition they could face.
Add in the fact they can't play Roma either having already played the Italian side and it leaves the Premier League champions with just three potential opponents.
Those are Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Besiktas.
Now the Blues could land on their feet and draw the Turkish side who have never before progressed from the group. But they have over a 66 per cent chance of landing one of the tournament favourites.
It's over to the luck of the draw...
Very well.
In a nutshell the 16 teams will be separated into two pots of group winners (seeded) and runners-up (unseeded).
