Manchester United have joined Arsenal and Tottenham in the pursuit for Hoffenheim's young midfielder Nadiem Amiri.

The trio of Premier League clubs will have to fork out £20million if they are to secure the Germany Under-21 star's signature in January, according to The Sun.

Jose Mourinho could be in the market for a new midfielder once the winter window opens in a few weeks time.

Amiri is no stranger with England however after he netted the winner in an international friendly for the Under 21s against Aidy Boothroyd's side back in March.

He featured again against England in this summer's Euros as Germany beat the young Three Lions 4-3 on penalties in the semi-finals.

Amiri then helped his country win the U21s tournament after coming off the bench in their win over Spain in the final.

The Hoffenheim midfielder is currently under contract with the Bundesliga side until June 2020.
