The Argentinian also had his head bandaged before he could return to the fray on Sunday, but he had to be replaced by Victor Lindelof at half-time.
Silva, on the other hand, was not injured in the incident and was even crowned man of the match after his goal.
Now Rojo has posted a photograph of the wound he suffered during the clash.
The defender returned to the fray but had to come off at half-time on Sunday evening
The 27-year-old has had to have the cut stapled in two places as he looks to heal in time for the Bournemouth game on Wednesday.
Manager Jose Mourinho cast doubts on the idea he would be available for the game at Old Trafford.
He told MUTV: 'He's a brave guy. I don't know, let's see if he can be ready for the match. but if he's not ready, we have other alternatives to play.'
But the Portuguese manager is hopeful he will be able to select Phil Jones: 'The injury is behind him and hopefully he can stay fit for the rest of the games.'
