During his Arsenal days, Cesc Fabregas was no stranger to carrying the team on his back.

The Chelsea midfielder seemed to be in his comfort zone when he did the same for 'Malcolm', as he greeted the squirrel monkey in a video on his wife's Instagram account.

As Malcolm rested on the 30-year-old's shoulder, the Spaniard says hello before inquisitively asking the primate 'how are you?'

After no response, friends and family of the Spaniard try to get Malcolm's attention while another male says 'Hola, Malcolm!' off-screen.

In the video, the former Barcelona man bares a striking resemblance to David Schwimmer's fictional character Ross Geller from the hit TV-series 'Friends', who adopted 'Marcel', a white-headed capuchin monkey in the show.

Chelsea face Southampton on Saturday and the Blues will be hoping the midfielder has got the monkey off his back by then.
