West Brom 1-2 Manchester United: Jose Mourinho's run continues, Jonas Olsson catches up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Red Devils fans sing 'park the bus' - THINGS YOU MISSED

  • Gary Neville moaned that Romelu Lukaku didn't celebrate his goal with the fans
  • Jose Mourinho extended an extraordinary record to 20 Premier League games
  • Manchester United fans hit back at arch-rivals City's 'park the bus United' chant
  • Jonas Olsson says goodbye to West Brom supporters months after leaving them
  • And summer signing Kieran Gibbs is still yet to win a game in West Brom colours

Manchester United claimed all three points at West Brom with Romelu Lukaku on target for the second successive game to cut City's lead at the top back to 11.

After the start the visitors had made you were waiting for the floodgates to open - they were two up inside 35 minutes. But they never did. Instead, West Brom grew into the game and managed to halve the deficit through Gareth Barry. It sparked some life into the stands but the buoyant home crowd could not inspire their men on the pitch as the final whistle condemned them to yet another another defeat.

Here, Sportsmail brings you a round-up of all the things you may have missed from United's slender victory at The Hawthorns.

Olsson says goodbye to West Brom fans and catches up with Ibrahimovic

There was a familiar face at The Hawthorns on Sunday.

Despite Jonas Olsson mutually agreeing to leave the club on a free in the summer, the Swedish defender returned to West Brom to bid his proper farewell to the fans.

Olsson, who spent nine years at the club, came out on to the pitch to applaud the fans and pose for photographs with the match ball before proceedings got underway.

His return to West Brom also gave him the opportunity to catch up with his former Sweden team-mate and United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic before the game.

West Brom fan dresses Christmassy

If you're going to dress up and get festive then do it.

A Christmas jumper is too tepid, too easy. And though this West Brom fan might not be feeling as happy as he was before kick-off - having sat through another uninspiring 90 minutes of football - it's fair to say he has done the festive dressing up right.

No expense was spared. A Father Christmas beard and a a Christmas tree hat wrapped in tinsel. Good job.

Man Utd fans' ironic 'park the bus' chant

Manchester City's players launched a thinly-veiled jibe at Mourinho's side in the aftermath of their victory over Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening with a 'park the bus Man United' song.

It didn't seem to have the desired affect though with United fans quick to make a mock out of the mockery.

They hit back at the jibe from their arch-rivals by ironically signing the same chant in the stands during the match at the Hawthorns.

Neville gets in a hump over Lukaku's lack of celebration

If there's one thing you couldn't criticise Gary Neville for as a player, it was his passion.

Even now as a pundit you get a striking sense that if his body allowed him he would still be out on the pitch playing for United.

Perhaps that's why Romelu Lukaku's lack of celebration seemed to rub him up the wrong way. There was no soaking up the moment from the Belgium international after he headed United into the lead. He just sort of stood there and allowed the other players to celebrate around him.

Commentator Alan Parry eluded to the fact he had had a loan spell at West Brom and suggested that could explain the rather subdued celebration.

Neville thought otherwise. 'Really, because of a loan spell, you think that?' he said, before lending Lukaku some advice.

'He didn't seem ecstatic against Bournemouth in midweek either. You have got to celebrate with those fans jumping up and down behind the goal, you've got to endear yourself to them. You can't not celebrate.'

Gibbs still hasn't won a game in West Brom colours

For Kieran Gibbs this must all be a shock to the system.

At Arsenal he was used to winning most of the time but that winning feeling has proved very elusive since his move to the Midlands.

In the 16 games he has played for West Brom since his summer switch, Gibbs has not tasted victory once.

He may be regretting ever leaving the Emirates Stadium.

Mourinho's astonishing record continues

Jose Mourinho has still never lost an away Premier League match against a side starting that day in the relegation zone.

United's easy victory over West Brom extended his extraordinary record to 20 games (W15 D4 L0).
