With just 11 days to go until the transfer window opens, clubs across Europe will be finalising their transfer plans ahead of the January splurge.

Clubs at the top and bottom of the Premier League and beyond have identified targets and the chequebooks are set to open ahead of a month that could make or break a season.

Celtic have announced the signing of centre-back Marvin Compper from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.

The 32-year-old German international has signed a two-and-a-half year deal and will officially join the Scottish champions on January 1.

SPENCER MORGAN: Fernando Torres is hopeful that Atletico Madrid can keep hold of striking partner Antoine Griezmann with the Frenchman the subject of interest from the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United.

The Spanish club have reported Barca to FIFA over their alleged pursuit of their star man, who is understood to have shut down an approach from the Premier League outfit in the summer.

Inter Milan ready to offer new Mauro Icardi new deal with £115m clause

Inter Milan are looking tie down Mauro Icardi into a long term deal at the San Siro to ward off interest from Real Madrid.

The striker only penned a deal last October, but the £97million release clause in the contract has now been considered too low according to Gazzetta.

With talks set to start next month, Inter are looking to raise the striker's currenta nnual salary from £4m to £6m as well as upping his release clause to £115m.

Seems like everyone wants a piece of Atletico Madrid's team today doesn't it?

Napoli are the latest to try and make a raid on the Spanish club having made a £20million offer to sign Sime Vrsaljko.

Javier Mascherano ready to complete £9million move to China

We saw earlier today that Mascherano was 'one step away' from completing his move to China from Barcelona.

Well that step looks like it has all been cleared with Spanish reports claiming Hebei China Fortune have agreed to pay £9million for the the defender.

However Mascherano's Nou Camp departure to Manuel Pellegrini's outfit may not go through until the end of Juanuary as Barca wait for the return of Samuel Umtiti from injury.

Las Palmas are considering a swoop to make Roberto di Matteo their new manager.

The Spanish club sit bottom of the table, with reports in Italy suggesting that the Italian has emerged as their No 1 target for a new boss, with Paquito Ortiz currently in an interim role.

Nicolas Gaitain could be set for January switch to the Premier League

Nicolas Gaitan's agent has confirmed that his client will definitely be leaving Atletico Madrid in January whether it's a permanent deal or only on loan.

The midfielder moved to Spain from Benfica in the summer of 2016 but has since failed to carve out a place in Diego Simeone's team.

'I can tell you English clubs are interested,' Jose Iribarren told reporters.

'Yes, he'll undoubtedly leave Atletico in January. He has a lot of concrete offers. He can't continue in these conditions. We need a team that needs a player of Nicolas' profile.

'He could leave on loan or in a permanent transfer. That decision belongs to Atletico. We have a lot of respect for Atletico and their president. We have to find a solution that suits both the player and Atletico.'

Paulo Dybala's agent fuels speculation over a move away from Juventus

Paulo Dybala's relationship with Juventus has become a bit rocky in recent weeks - and it's not being helped by his agent's actions.

The Argentina international is represented by his brother Mariano who on Tuesday travelled to Paris to hold talks with Paris Saint-Germain.

When questioned by Italian reporters over how the meeting went, Dybala's brother simply responded by saying: 'I’m not in Turin and I have nothing else to add.'

Atletico Madrid are looking to report Barcelona over an alleged illegal attempt to snap up Antoine Griezmann.

But the Spanish league leaders have denied making any approach in the France international.

A Barca director said: 'Barcelona have not negotiated with any player, so we understand that no irregularity has been committed, we are relaxed.'

He did stop short of saying Barca are not interested in Griezmann's services though...

Barcelona are willing to splash out £132million to sign Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho in January, according to a new report in Spain.

Spanish newspaper Sport claim that the La Liga giants have accepted that they must smash their transfer record to seal a deal for the talented playmaker.

David Moyes felt forced to play teenagers Declan Rice and Domingos Quina in West Ham's League Cup defeat by Arsenal, and the Hammers boss now hopes to bring in more midfielders in January.
