Thank you for your company!

Wow. What an incredible finish to a thrilling game. Mourinho will be left cursing his side's profligacy as Lingard, Rashford and Martial all missed guilt-edged chances before Maguire's late heroics. Manchester City are now 13 points clear and the United manager might have a couple of extra glasses of red tonight to drown his sorrows. Thank you for your company and be sure to join us again next time.

Full time: Leicester 2-2 Manchester United

GOALLLL!!!!! Leicester 2-2 Manchester United (Maguire, 94)

Can you believe this!? Marc Albrighton whips in a desperate, teasing cross and Maguire ghosts in at the back post to poke home. Incredible. They threw everything at it and have come away with a point. It was the last kick of the game and United had missed so many chances, it's come back to haunt them and the Leicester fans are bouncing.

21:35
They're pouring everyone forward

A gusty finale here. Smalling is in real discomfort but there is not a lot of sympathy from the crowd as you might imagine. 'You're not fit to referee' echoes around the stadium. Can Leicester fashion even a half chance?

21:33
Tick tock....

The clock is not Leicester's friend and United know it, taking their time over every throw in. But the Foxes can't hold onto the ball at the moment. Smalling is struggling with injury but has to defend a corner. Albrighton fires wide and we're into added time.

21:28
Leicester fans laying into John Moss

Smalling is all over Maguire, climbing on him in the box from a Fuchs long throw. The home fans howl for a penalty but Moss is unmoved. A frantic five minutes left.

21:25
Mkhitaryan on for Mata
21:24
Rashford spurns golden opportunity

80 mins: Lukaku finds Rashford in acres of space and the striker attempts to round the goalkeeper. He makes a mess of it and ends up stumbling over, there are faint cries for a penalty but he should have put that one away. Ten minutes remaining.

21:19
Lingard comes off for Hererra

He's played well Lingard but that miss will be replaying itself in his mind tonight, he comes off for Hererra as Mourinho opts for control over the 10 men.

21:17
Amartey sent off

72 mins: Madness. He's come off the bench and picked up two yellow cards, totally blocking off Rashford down the flank and even the Leicester fans have no sympathy, so stupid.

21:16
Huge miss by Lingard!

Lingard collects a perfect through ball from Lukaku, rounds the goalkeeper but plants his finish onto the meat of the near post. He'd done the hard part but will be kicking himself after that, especially if Leicester can find an equaliser.

21:14
Rashford on for Martial

The Frenchman has been busy and looks disappointed to be hooked by Mourinho but as is the custom this season, Rashford comes on in his stead.

21:13
End-to-end mayhem

69 mins: Schmeichel almost makes a fatal error, smashing a clearance into Pogba but United fail to make it tell, then the home side go up the other end only for Young to intervene brilliantly. You get the feeling there are more goals in this.

21:09
United fans in full voice

65 mins: The King Power is still rocking but it is the away end providing the sound track, Mata's sublime set piece has the visitors in the driver's seat. Mahrez looks a threat whenever the Leicester players can get him on the ball but it's going to be tough for the Foxes to break down their opponents now.

21:04
GOALLLL!!!! Leicester 1-2 Manchester United (Mata, 60)

It is Mata and it is wonderful. A sublime free-kick. Perhaps Schmeichel could do better but the Spaniard is so close and bends it up and over expertly. United have the lead and now the hosts have it all to do.

21:03
United free-kick on the edge of the area

Huge chance here for United, Mata or Young to take this one in a dangerous position.

21:00
Simpson replaced by Amartey

That's the end of Simpson's night and Daniel Amartey comes on for the right back.

20:59
Danny Simpson struggling

Simpson is clutching his hamstring. He's been run ragged and after coming off to see the physio he's back on trying to run it off. United might sniff blood in the water down that side now.

20:57
Huge chance for Fuchs!

52 mins: Leicester have made decent start to the second half, there is more purpose to their midfield play. A cross teases it's way along the six yard box, everyone misses it and Fuchs has a chance to blast home but his effort is blocked on the line. Lindelof the man in the way.

20:51
Leicester out the tracks faster

48 mins: Gray makes progress down the right and thinks he has a corner but the referee gives a goal kick, then Mahrez pokes it through Matic's legs, the Serbian reacts by hauling him back and receives a yellow card for his troubles.

20:49
We're back underway!
20:36
ROB DRAPER AT KING POWER STADIUM:

Extraordinarily open game. Surely more goals to come. Leicester will be quietly happy and feel they can win this with Mahrez and Vardy as hungry as they seem.

20:34
Half time: Leicester 1-1 Manchester United

Time to catch your breath. Leicester stunned United on the break to break the deadlock but Mata's timely and tidy finish brought Mourinho's men level before half-time. More of the same in the second 45 mins please.

20:31
United carved open from a free kick

44 mins: Harry Maguire has a huge opportunity to put Leicester back in front, a free-kick finds him all alone on the edge of the six yard box but his touch lets him down, Lindelof seems to be the man at fault and that's a real let off.

20:25
GOALLLLL!! Leicester 1-1 Manchester United (Mata, 39)

Lingard lays it off to Mata in the box and the Spaniard shows excellent composure to find a gap between the defenders charging him down, beating Schmeichel with precision into the corner. Danny Simpson is being overrun on the left side and the Foxes just haven't dealt with it. United are level and on the balance of play probably deserve to be.

20:19
Lindelof in the book

The makeshift right back lunges in after his touch fails him, a nasty looking challenge and an easy enough decision for the referee.

20:18
ROB DRAPER AT KING POWER STADIUM:

And that was a classic 15-16 season goal! Superb moments all round, especially Mahrez scrambling Chris Smalling’s brain – why did he let him just stand there and pass? But most of all, the lovely composure of Harry Maguire starting the move with a cool pass under pressure from his own box

20:17
United rattled

31 mins: Loud jeers as captain Pogba picks it up thirty yards from goal and blasts one high and wide. They were ducking for cover in the cheap seats and the home fans in their Santa hats are jumping.

20:12
GOAAALLL!!!!! Leicester 1-0 Manchester United (Vardy, 26)

Prophetic stuff from Mr Draper. Mahrez is freed on the counter and finds himself one-on-one with Smalling, he holds the ball up brilliantly for the overlapping run of Vardy. The striker runs onto it and smashes his finish into the corner ruthlessly. A stunning counter attack and Mourinho will be absolutely fuming.

20:11
ROB DRAPER AT KING POWER STADIUM:

Leicester set up in classic 15-16 season style; ready to pounce on the break, with Gray and Vardy looking dangerous

20:08
Vardy is a constant menace

22 mins: Vardy sprints towards Smalling who panics and smashes it into touch, the buzzing presence of the Leicester striker gives defenders the jitters and he's leading the charge well, an unrelenting flow to this game and the benches may be crucial later.

20:04
ROB DRAPER AT KING POWER STADIUM:

‘Champions of England/More recent than you’ sing Leicester fans. Leaving aside grammatical quibbles, Leicester have eight Premier League winners in their starting line up; Man United have five.

20:03
Demarai Gray is the out-ball for Foxes

16 mins: After a sustained spell of United pressure, Leicester clear to Gray who chews up the ground and brings play right up to the opposition box, even his own players struggle to keep up with him and it comes to nothing but his pace offers Puel's men a nice way to transition up the pitch.

19:58
United playing with authority

11 mins: Lingard is making United tick at the moment, his through ball to Lukaku almost creates a one-on-one and then he wins a corner. The visitors mean business and Leicester have spent the opening ten minutes in their own half.

19:54
Venomous Pogba strike well saved

8 mins: Schmeichel has been heavily involved thus far, Pogba disguises a shot brilliantly, cutting inside before unleashing a thunderous strike, it's down the goalkeeper's through but he does well to cling on rather than parry into the path of onrushing forwards.

19:51
Great effort from Lingard

5 mins: Lingard links up with Lukaku before his deflected strike forces a fine save from Schmeichel who tips over after adjusting well. Vardy is then released at the other end but Young gets back really well to cover. Some pace this game is being played at.

19:48
Smalling heads over

2 mins: He should do far better. Mata digs out a cross for the centre-back who sees it coming a mile off but can't keep his header down, a real chance early on.

19:46
We're underway!

The King Power is rocking as expected, Leicester have managed one win in their last 19 against United but the crowd is right behind them and it's a frenetic start with Martial's powerful shot blocked on the edge of the area.

19:40
5 minute warning

Grab a pack of Jaffa cakes, settle in, both sides have completed their warm-ups, the managers have passed on any late messages and we're five minutes away from the action.

19:29
A few words from Claude Puel

Riveting stuff from Mr Puel, bonus generic points for 'exciting challenge' and 'positive mentality'.

19:20
A United point of weakness...

Mourinho has opted for Lindelof at right-back tonight with Darmian out injured, not an ideal replacement and perhaps the Foxes will be licking their lips at the prospect of a few raids down that flank.

19:15
There are Reindeer outside the stadium

That's not an opening line I ever thought I'd type. But here's another reminder that CHRISTMAS is round the corner. To be fair a pen of Reindeer is not a bad addition to a car park outside the King Power.

I'd like to know where these poor confused creatures have come from? Big money transfer from lapland? The frozen tundra of the arctic one moment and the tarmac of the east midlands the next. Sensational.

19:05
How we lie...

Is it still a title race? It's beginning to feel like a bit of a procession. City are Usain Bolt with his arms out in celebration before the finish line such is the comfort of a 14-point gap.

It would be a remarkable collapse/achievement if United could chase them down but days like this are potential banana skins. Leicester are comfortable in eighth and a bouncing King Power on a Saturday night could provide the backdrop for a thriller.

Leicester - Team News

Back to full strength for Leicester as Vardy, Gray and Mahrez all start having come off the bench in midweek against City.

The Twitter offering of the Foxes line-up is not in the slightest bit festive, hungry for points, not mince pies it seems. Poor.

Manchester United - Team News

Pogba captains a strong line-up for the visitors as Martial gets the nod over Rashford and Ibrahimovic starts from the bench with Lukaku leading the line. United have even provided a festive-themed Twitter team sheet for your pleasure. It's nearly Christmas in case you weren't aware.

18:48
Good evening and welcome!

Hello sports fans. A Christmas cracker tonight as Jose Mourinho's Manchester United look to keep their fingertips on the coattails of City by attempting to overcome Leicester at the King Power.

Keep it with us as we bring you all the build up before kick-off in around 55 minutes time.

Jose Mourinho was left fuming as Manchester United spurned a host of chances to put Leicester away only for Harry Maguire to score a late equaliser.

The centre-back ghosted in at the back post to poke home and make it 2-2 with virtually the final kick of the game.

Jamie Vardy's opener was cancelled out by Juan Mata who then put United ahead with a sublime free kick.

It seemed like the visitors would cruise to all three points, particularly when Daniel Amartey was sent off, but Maguire salvaged a point in dramatic fashion.
