Manchester City are playing some of the best football I have seen but teams have to throw a punch to gain respect
- Pep Guardiola’s side are unbeaten this season and won 18 matches in a row
- Teams are rightly fearful of them but need to throw a punch to gain respect
- It is not much of a spectacle when teams park the bus against Manchester City
After Manchester City beat Bournemouth 4-0 just before Christmas, I could not believe it when I heard some City supporters say they were getting bored.

City have created an aura about them, having gone unbeaten all season and won a record 18 matches in a row. Their opponents are rightly fearful of them.
But whether they lose 1-0 or 4-0, a defeat is a defeat. You do not win a boxing match by merely covering up.
You have to throw a punch. It is not much of a spectacle when teams park the bus. Teams would gain much more respect by trying to take the game to City.
