Sportsmail reported on Friday night that some of the 29-year-old's team-mates and members of the backroom staff have had enough of him.

There are some players who want him out in January, others who wish he had been sold last summer.

With Pep Guardiola's City monitoring Sanchez's situation closely, the fact Sanchez will be able to have a summer rest while the World Cup plays out is seen as a positive.

Even if Sanchez's Arsenal team-mates are having a laugh at his expense at not being part of the global football jamboree.

Sanchez has yet to respond to Elneny's good-natured joke, at least not on social media.
