Celtic have had a £500,000 bid rejected for Hendry who only joined Dundee last summer after a spell with Wigan Athletic.
Jack Hendry will be watched by a host of Premier League and Scottish clubs
The Scottish champions are reluctant to pay the asking price of £1.5million set by Hendry's employers.
Hendry scored on his debut for Dundee in their 2-1 defeat by Ross County on the first day of the season, and has gone on to feature in all 22 of their Premiership fixtures.
Dundee have found themselves caught up in a relegation dog fight, with just two points separating them from drop zone play-off spot, and five keeping them clear of rock-bottom Ross County.
