RAMBO: Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has told Aaron Ramsey to get his priorities right [GETTY]

The Wales international enjoyed a superb season for the Gunners last term, but has so far struggled to recapture that form during the opening months of the new campaign.

And the Arsenal boss made it clear what the 23-year-old needs to do.

“Just keep the priorities right,” Wenger said.

“A midfielder is a guy who defends well and makes other players in the team play well. And he must focus on that.”

Gunners legend Charlie Nicholas SLAMMED Ramsey for his midweek performance in the 3-3 Champions League draw with Anderlecht.

However Wenger says Ramsey should not be guided by such statements.

“I think you need to be guided not by what people say, but by the way we want to play and the way the game should be played,” he added.

“People say all sorts after a game. But as a midfielder you have to get the priorities right, defend well, attack well and give good balls to the other players.

“In the heart of the game that is what it is all about. It is not about goalscoring. Goalscoring is a consequence of playing well. So he must concentrate on playing well.”
