Chelsea are planning an audacious bid for former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Premier League leaders see the Spurs star as a replacement for Didier Drogba and an able understudy for Diego Costa.

According to the Daily Express, Drogba is expected to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and boss Jose Mourinho believes Adebayor would add experience to his squad.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that the club has begun contract talks with Theo Walcott.

The England winger recently stated the opposite on social media.

But, Wenger told beIN Sports: “We start to negotiate with Theo to extend his contract.

"Personally I would like to keep him."

The Daily Express say that Chelsea see Green as back-up for Thibaut Courtois but Rangers are unwilling to let him go cheaply.

Despite being 35-years-old, QPR want £2m for the England stopper.
