Arsene Wenger has revealed that Yaya Sanogo is joining Ajax on loan.
The France Under-21 international underwent a medical yesterday ahead of his season-long switch.
"He will join Ajax certainly, but we have not finished the paperwork," Wenger said. "He will go on loan.
"He needs to play. He is at that age. He came to us injured and it took us a while to get him to top level."
Wenger has refused to rule Arsenal out of the running for Karim Benzema.
The Gunners were this morning linked with a £40m move for the Real Madrid striker.
When asked about a bid, the Frenchman said: “I don’t know where that comes from but it’s not happening at the moment, no.”
Manchester United have also been linked with Benzema.
Arsenal have made a £15.4m bid for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, according to the Metro.
The Gunners have been linked with the Italy Under-21 international and have now reportedly firmed up their interest.
The Metro believe Wenger's interest in Rugani raises doubts over German Per Mertesacker's Emirates future.
Rugani ended last season on loan at Empoli.
