Kante has been a driving force in midfield for champions Leicester after joining from Caen last summer.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked with the France international, who reportedly has a £19.8m release clause.
French news outlet RMC claim the Gunners have met with Kante's representatives to discuss a possible deal for the 25-year-old.
And Wenger believes Kante will have plenty of suitors if Leicester green light a sale.
"I think he will play in the European Championships and for me he was one of the players of the year in the Premier League," Wenger said.
"I cannot tell you anything now.
"He is under contract with Leicester.
"I am sure if Leicester want to sell him, they will find some buyer."
