Manchester United will make a final push to get their deal for Alvaro Morata over the line this week.

The Real Madrid striker has been United's top summer target for several weeks but the transfer has proved problematic.

The Independent claim Jose Mourinho is angry at the lack of new signings coming into Old Trafford.

And the Red Devils will try to rectify that by finally landing Morata within the coming days.

The Spaniard wants to join United but Real are still holding out for around £10m more than what the Premier League giants want to spend.

United are reportedly closing in on Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic.

Mourinho recently upped his interest in the 28-year-old winger but had an opening bid rejected by Inter.

According to Sky Italia, the Red Devils will now make a new, bumper offer for the Croatia star.

It is said United's bid will be below Inter's £48m asking price but the Italian giants are willing to sell.

Michael Keane admits he was tempted to re-join United.

Everton signed the 24-year-old defender on a five-year deal from Burnley for £30m yesterday.

He told Sky Sports: "Of course it was a temptation [to join Manchester United] - it's your boyhood club.

"But you have got to take your heart out of it sometimes and think what's best for you, and I feel as if [Everton] is the best place for me to come and continue my development.

"It's a club with such big history and a great fan base so I can't wait to pull on the shirt and play for this club."
