The Spanish striker has been tipped to move to Old Trafford.

But a deal hasn’t materialised and United have now turned their attention to Everton sensation Romelu Lukaku.

Real are desperate to sign Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe.

The French striker is expected to cost mega-money, though.

It’s widely expected that a £100m bid will be necessary to prise him away from the Ligue 1 champions.

However, to secure Mbappe’s services, Real need to raise funds first.

The La Liga heavyweights were hoping to bag around £70m selling Morata.

A similar asking price has also been slapped on Real outcast James Rodriguez.

Spanish news outlet Diario Gol say Real supremo Florentino Perez has been in talks with Monaco chiefs.

It’s suggested Perez reaffirmed his interest in Mbappe - but admitted Morata and Rodriguez need to be sold first.

Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked with Mbappe.

But despite both clubs having deep pockets, Real still look the 18-year-old's most likely destination.
