That’s according to Gunners legend Adrian Clarke who reckons Lacazette is ideally suited for Arsene Wenger’s men.

Arsenal snapped up the France international for £52m from Lyon yesterday.

Lukaku, meanwhile, is on the cusp of a move to Manchester United after Everton accepted at £75m offer for their star man.

But Clarke is convinced Lacazette is the better option for the north Londoners.

"He is proven in the Premier League, I think it's horses for courses," Clarke said on talkSPORT.

"At Arsenal, I would rather have Lacazette because he's a more sprightly player. He's nippy, in-behind.

"With Romelu Lukaku, I don't think his hold-up play is particularly good. I think he suits a counter-attacking side Romelu Lukaku.

"I think with Arsenal who are a possession-based team, Manchester United have been a possession-based team.

"You wonder if Jose Mourinho is going to change their style and make them more of a counter-attacking unit at Chelsea.

"When I think of Lukaku, I think of him charging down the channels to be really destructive.

"He's fabulous when that happens but in general play, I don't know."
