Manchester United have agreed terms with Paris St-Germain defender Serge Aurier.

French Twitter account @Parisunited6 made the claim, writing: "Aurier agrees with Man U in anticipation of a favourable outcome to his trial.

"Authorised by the PSG to negotiate with other clubs."

Aurier was previously banned from entering the UK due to a conviction for assault.

The Ivory Coast international was found guilty in September of assaulting a police officer outside a Paris nightclub.

He has appealed the conviction and a hearing scheduled for August 7 is crucial to whether or not his travel restrictions are lifted.

Nemanja Matic is set to complete his £40m move today, Starsport understand.

The Chelsea midfielder underwent a medical yesterday and will become the Red Devils' third summer signing.

The 28-year-old could make his first appearance for the club in Wednesday's pre-season friendly against Sampdoria.

Chelsea, who were hoping for £50m, have allowed Matic to switch to Old Trafford as a gesture of goodwill.

Matic was targeted after it became clear Tottenham would not sell Eric Dier.

Jose Mourinho would rather sign Gareth Bale instead of Ivan Perisic, according to the Telegraph.

The United boss is hoping to bag a winger after Matic's move is signed, sealed and delivered.

Old Trafford chiefs have been in talks to sign Inter Milan winger Perisic but are struggling to agree a deal.

Bale is the dream target but Real Madrid are unlikely to sell without landing a replacement.
