The German midfielder is fast becoming one of the most sort after young players in Europe following his impressive form over recent seasons.

The 22-year-old has been a mainstay of Schalke's first-team for the past four years and was superb for Germany in their victorious Confederations Cup campaign earlier this summer.

Goretzka is now being consistently linked with a move away from Schalke.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are known to be keen while Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City have all been linked as well.

Schalke star Leon Goretzka has hit out at the transfer speculation surrounding his future

Talk about Goretzka's future will no doubt continue until the transfer window closes and the player admits he is not happy about the speculation.

He told Sky Germany: "It is really getting on my nerves.

"I can see why it interests people but I can only repeat once again, there’s nothing new to report with Munich.

"I have clearly denied there is an agreement in place with any club. I can promise you this is the case."

Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City are all keen on Schalke star Leon Goretzka

German outlet Sportbild reported earlier this month that Premier League giants Arsenal, Liverpool and City have joined Bayern and Real Madrid in pursuit of Goretzka.

They hinted that the Gunners are currently most interested in the ex-Bochum ace.

Goretzka is out of contract next summer and currently available for around £27m.

Sportbild also suggested that he will refuse to sign Schalke’s new contract offer and wants a weekly wage of £165,000-a-week.
