Brancolini, 16, rose through the academy ranks with hometown club Modena after joining them as a kid.

And Transfermarkt indicate that he left them on Monday for Serie A outfit Fiorentina.

Brancolini has been drafted into the Florence club’s Under-19s squad ahead of next season.

And it seems he’s done so after being courted by two of the UK’s biggest clubs.

Di Marzio reckons Manchester United showed an interested in signing Brancolini.

Leeds United, meanwhile, were thought to be after him too.

However, Di Marzio says Brancolini preferred to stay in his homeland.

The goalkeeper is not the only rising star thought to be on Manchester United’s radar though.

The Red Devils are apparently trying to tempt Jadon Sancho into leaving local rivals Manchester City for them.

Arsenal and Tottenham are also said to be chasing the England youth international.
