The Sky Sports journalist believes the 21-year-old is now Arsene Wenger’s top priority in terms of players coming into the club.

Monaco insist they will not sell Lemar but the Gunners continue to chase his signature.

“Now it still could be pretty busy at Arsenal with regard to big name arrivals at the Emirates,” Sheth told Sky Sports.

“We’ve talked about so many players who could potentially be leaving Arsenal but the name Thomas Lemar will not go away.

“Arsenal remain interested in the Monaco winger despite Monaco’s insistence the player is not for sale.

“Arsenal have had two bids rejected already, the latest being £40m.”

Monaco have seen a mass exodus of players after winning the French title and reaching the Champions League semi-finals last time out.

Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva have headed to Manchester City, Tiemoue Bakayoko is at Chelsea and Kylian Mbappe is being linked with a switch to Real Madrid.

And that may make it harder for Arsenal to convince the French side into letting Lemar exit as well.

The Gunners have already added Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette as they look to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League.

The future of Alexis Sanchez is also undecided as he is stalling on signing a new contract with just one year remaining on his current deal.
