Matt Le Tissier says Man City will beat Man Utd to the Premier League title

That's the view of pundit Matt Le Tissier.

Both United and City have splashed the cash this summer in hope of mounting a title charge next campaign.

And Le Tissier reckons Pep Guardiola's men will beat the Red Devils to the title.

"I think they [United] will have a strong season, maybe not as good as City," said Le Tissier.

"I'd go with second or third."

Le Tissier reckons United's strength this season will be their attacking options, claiming the addition of Romelu Lukaku makes them stronger than last time out.

"All of the attacking talent that they've got," he added.

"Antony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Juan Mata, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

"They've lost Zlatan Ibrahimovic but their wealth of forward players should improve this season."

However, Le Tissier says United's fixture congestion could be a problem.

"I guess the main challenge will be coping with the fixtures," he added.

"I know they had the Europa League but the Champions League is a different level and if they have as many injuries, which a lot of their defenders do tend to be prone to, it will be a challenge being successful on both fronts."

United are back in action next week when Mourinho's men face Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup Final on Tuesday.

The Red Devils then kick off their Premier League campaign against West Ham on Sunday.
