The England Under-21 international has spent 14 years on the books at Old Trafford after joining the Red Devils as a kid.

And he was handed his senior United debut in November 2015, coming on as a 76th-minute substitute for Marcos Rojo against West Brom.

Borthwick-Jackson made a further 13 appearances over the course of the 2015/16 campaign before joining Wolves on loan last summer.

His stint at Molineux was tough though with Paul Lambert replacing Walter Zenga, who took him to the Black Country, in November.

Lambert barely played Borthwick-Jackson and the 20-year-old will be hoping he’s given more opportunities to shine at Leeds.

Thomas Christiansen filled the Elland Road hotseat vacated by now-Middlesbrough boss Garry Monk in June.

And the new Leeds gaffer has now made 11 signings, splashing out a little over £10m in the process.

The Whites kicked off their 2017/18 Championship campaign with a 3-2 away win over Bolton yesterday.

Leeds face League Two outfit Port Vale in the EFL Cup first round on Wednesday night.

And they’re back in Championship action when they play host to Preston on Saturday.
