A packed-out Wembley stadium saw the traditional curtain-raiser for the Premier League fought out between the two London sides.

And Arsenal drew first blood, winning on penalties after the match finished 1-1 during normal time.

But Blues and Gunners fans were much more interested in expressing their hate for a common enemy – Tottenham Hotspur.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea fans sang about their hatred of Tottenham at the Community Shield

Fan footage from the game captured the moment the stadium united in chanting their dislike for the North London club.

In the clip, which has gone viral, you can hear a chorus of “stand up off you hate Tottenham” echo around the huge arena.

It’s clear both sets of fans are enjoying the chant with thousands standing up to sing.

The eventful match saw Victor Moses hand Chelsea the lead before Pedro was shown a straight red card.

Arsenal signing Sead Kolasinac equalised from the resulting free-kick before the match went to penalties.

Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois and £75m signing Alvaro Morata both missed their spot-kicks to hand Arsenal their first silverware of the season.
