Jamie Redknapp says Man Utd will win the Premier League title if they land Gareth Bale

That's according to Jamie Redknapp.

Jose Mourinho today claimed he will make a move for the Wales international if Real Madrid want to sell the winger, 28.

Mourinho said: "If he plays [against United in the Uefa Super Cup tomorrow night], it is the clearest signal that he is staying there.

"Then I won't even think about it. If he is not in the club's plans and it is true that a player like Bale is at the departure gate, I will try to be there waiting for him at the other side."

And Redknapp reckons Bale would guarantee United the Premier League title this season.

"If he did [join United], I think they should give them the trophy now," Redknapp told Sky Sports.

"Bale would rip the Premier League apart if he came back here.

"The way he would play in that team, he'd be sensational.

"There's only a few players that can do what he can.

"The goals he scored for Real Madrid when he ran off the pitch and still got the ball... he's sensational.

"He's made for the Premier League."
