Jose Mourinho is open to agreeing a swap deal with Tottenham for Danny Rose.

The England international has revealed his desire to move back north, hinting at a move to Manchester United or Manchester City.

Rose, 27, wants to win trophies and could quit Spurs for a move to a Premier League rival.

And according to the Daily Record, Mourinho is desperate to sign a new left-back this summer.

They say the United boss is frustrated with Luke Shaw's attitude and he could be used in a swap deal to land Rose.

However, the Red Devils face competition for the Spurs star.

The Record add that Chelsea and City are chasing Rose, with both clubs making approaches for the defender.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah has completed his loan move to Crystal Palace.

He'll spend 12 months at Selhurst Park and wear the No.24.

Discussing the deal, Fosu-Mensah said: "The manager spoke to me about coming down to join Crystal Palace and it was clear that he wanted me to be part of his squad which as a player gives you a great feeling straight away.

"I must now repay that back by putting in some good performances for the club.

"I am only 19-years-old and still have a lot to learn and therefore getting the opportunity to play more games on a regular basis will help my development."

Phil Neville thinks Chelsea have handed United a boost in their bid to win the Premier League by selling them Nemanja Matic.

He told Sky Sports: “I can't think of a reason why Chelsea would sell him.

“If Nathaniel Chalobah or Ruben Loftus-Cheek were still there they could get rid of Matic and play a younger kid.

“You would applaud that but those players aren't even at the club now.

“They have weakened their own team and strengthened Manchester United, who now have a better chance of winning the Premier League than Chelsea.

“United were crying out for a central midfielder with the qualities of Nemanja Matic. He is probably the best in England alongside N'Golo Kante.

“Chelsea have broken up that partnership and strengthened their rivals. All of a sudden United are in the driving seat ahead of Chelsea to win the Premier League.

“Chelsea are weaker than last season - no Diego Costa, no Matic - and I'm concerned for them.

"Is Tiemoue Bakayoko a similar type of player to Matic? Will he gel alongside Kante?

“Matic has intelligence and experience of the Premier League.

"Bakayoko has not and I saw him in the Champions League last year.

"He was good in some games, inexperienced in others. He will take time to settle.

“I think the [Matic] sale at this moment in time, with that Chelsea squad, could cost them the league.”
