Gary Neville blasted Sead Kolasinac for his defending

Kolasinac, who joined the Gunners from Schalke on a free transfer earlier this summer, started as the left-sided central defender in Arsene Wenger's 3-4-3 formation.

The Bosnian - a full-back by trade - was played out of position because Laurent Koscielny (suspension), Shkodran Mustafi (fitness), Per Mertesacker and Gabriel (both injured) were all unavailable.

But that did not make him immune from criticism, with Manchester United legend Neville blasting him for his role in Leicester's opening goal scored by Shinji Okazaki.

“Leicester take a short one, credit to them, and they just take Arsenal unawares with no authority at the back,” Neville said on Sky Sports.

“(Harry) Maguire does really well to guide it across and Okazaki beats (Granit) Xhaka in the air.

“But I have to say, the new centre-back Kolasinac, it’s so irresponsible what he does.

“He’s there at that back post, he drifts forward. I have no idea what he is doing.

“I have no idea, he just leaves a massive void for the rest of his team to cover and they can’t cover it. It’s poor from him.”
