Jose Mourinho speaks out after Man Utd beat Leicester at Old Trafford

United took the lead through Marcus Rashford in the second-half.

Marouane Fellaini added a second with eight minutes remaining to seal the win.

And Mourinho reckons his side put in a solid performance.

He said: "I think we played very well. The result was open at 0-0.

“The blue wall was very well organised and I alwyas give credit for that. They defended very well.

"After the goal I have to say we were very good. If i have to choose a word to describe my team, i would have to say "solid".

"The players are good and motivated.

“They are on the bench waiting for a chance."

Both Rashford and Fellaini originally started the game on the bench.

And Mourinho praised the impact of his super-subs for changing the game.

He added: "If I don't have them on the bench I can't make successful changes.

“The players work hard and those who are not playing and are on the bench, or in the stands, are working hard too and waiting for the chance."

United face Stoke at the Bet365 Stadium after the international break.
