Kieran Gibbs: Arsenal star is heading to West Brom for £7m

The 29-year-old will call time on his 13-year association with The Gunners after a deal to Watford fell through.

The England international is expected to complete the move later today.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis also looks set to clinch a £10m deal for Fehnerbache midfielder Josef de Souza.

West Brom are bracing themselves for a late move for central defender Jonny Evans with Manchester City heading the queue.

But they will have to moved quickly because the Midlands club will only do business at over £30m – and quickly.

If they reluctantly allowed the Northern Ireland international to leave it would have to be at the right price and would also hinge on them getting in their No.1 replacement Mamadou Sakho of Liverpool.

The two deals are inter-dependant and the later City leave a move for Evans, the more likely it is to be knocked back.

Leicester have upped the ante with a £21m bid for Evans – three million more than City’s only bid so far.

But that was dismissed out of hand and it seems that if anyone was going to come in with the required cash then it would be City.

Even so, they will only get the go-ahead should Albion be left with enough time to complete a deal to get Sakho in before the window shuts.
