Arsenal's midfielder could leave the club today either on loan or on a permanent deal.

Both Zenit St Petersburg and Real Betis have made enquiries about the 25-year-old.

But the out-of-favour Arsenal ace is still holding out for a domestic club to come in.

Starsport understands West Ham would be his first choice.

And the Hammers have been in talks with Arsenal over a potential season-long loan.

Jack Wilshere could yet make the switch across London from Arsenal to West Ham

A formal offer to take Wilshere is yet to be made, with West Ham looking at other options too.

A move for William Carvalho appears unlikely now, but Barcelona's Andre Gomes is being pursued.

Wilshere is another target though, with the Gunners preparing for a host of outgoings.

Joel Campbell, Lucas Perez, Calum Chambers, Mathieu Debuchy and Alexis Sanchez could all also leave ahead of tonight's 11pm deadline.

Wilshere is now back fit and playing for Arsenal's IUnder-23s side having recovered from a broken leg.

But he does not appear to be a focal point in Arsene Wenger's plans going forward.

Wilshere currently has less than 12 months remaining on his contract too, meaning even a loan move could spell the end of his Emirates career.

At West Ham, meanwhile, striker Diafra Sakho is trying to force his way out.
