The Arsenal ace has been heavily linked with an Emirates exit in recent months.

The Gunners accepted a £60m bid from Manchester City for the Chile international on deadline day.

However, Arsenal couldn’t secure a replacement for their star man before the transfer window shut at 11pm.

Arsene Wenger made a £92m bid for Monaco sensation Thomas Lemar but the France international chose to snub the Gunners and stay in Ligue 1.

And according to Spanish transfer outlet Don Balon, Sanchez was offered to Real on deadline day.

They claim Arsenal gave Real the chance to sign the Chile international for £69m (€75m).

However, Zinedine Zidane snubbed the Gunners’ offer.

The Frenchman knows he can sign Sanchez next summer on a free transfer when his Arsenal contract expires.

Sanchez returned to action for Arsenal last weekend when the Gunners were smashed by Liverpool at Anfield.

City could return for Sanchez in the January transfer window, with Pep Guardiola desperate to link up with the former Barcelona star again.
