Sanchez may miss Arsenal's weekend fixture with Bournemouth

The Chilean has picked up a knock during training with his Chile team-mates while on international duty.

This means Sanchez is now a doubt for his country's clash with Bolivia on Tuesday and Saturday's Premier League return.

The 28-year-old left the pitch an ankle injury, according to Bio Bio Chile.

El Mercurio added he left with an ice pack strapped to his left foot.

The scare couldn't have arrived at a worse time for Chile, who are in need of a win tomorrow to keep their World Cup 2018 qualification dreams alive.

They currently occupy the last of four automatic places in South America's World Cup qualifying group.

Arsene Wenger will also be hoping the injury isn't serious, as Arsenal look to put to their poor start to the season behind them.

This time last week, many Gunners fan would have assumed Sanchez would not be in the squad to face the Cherries this Saturday.
